These candied croissants are tantalizingly delicious. Flaky croissants are candied to perfection with cinnamon sugar. They are so fun and can be enjoyed by themselves or with a scoop of ice cream and strawberries for brunch or as dessert.

Make your cinnamon sugar. In a small bowl, combine sugar and cinnamon and mix. Set it aside. Flatten your croissants. On a cutting board or flat surface, flatten the croissants using a rolling pin. We want them as flat as we can to get the crispiest candied croissants! Melt a knob of butter in a pan on medium heat. Add your flattened croissant to the pan and sprinkle cinnamon sugar on top of the croissant, flip the croissant and sprinkle with more cinnamon sugar. Toast the croissant. Lay a sheet of parchment paper on top of the croissant and place a heavy bowl on top of the parchment paper to act as a weight. This helps keep the croissant flat. Allow cinnamon sugar to melt and caramelize, keep checking to prevent it from burning, for about 2 minutes. Flip the croissant and repeat this step. Remove the candied croissants and enjoy immediately!
